Hi! My name is Patrick Carr. I'm an 8th grade sports fanatic. My mom used to call me Rain Man when it came to sports but I just think I happen to like sports all the time. There are a lot of blogs and websites that talk about sports BUT not many, if any, are written by a 13 year old. I will give my thoughts on football, basketball and major league baseball a couple of times a week. Let me know what you think, send comments or suggestions and "It's game time!".
I am going to give my bowl predictions for the next few days.
I think Arizona will be able to pull off a tight win against Nevada. Arizona's wins against big teams will be able to give them the clutch performance by their defense and their offense.
To me, Utah State is going to win this game by at least 10 points, their fast quarterback will lead their fast offense to the red zone just about every time. Utah State's defensive pressure will sack Toledo's quarterback a couple of times and will make him run. If Toledo had a running game it will be gone in this game.
Time for the NBA now. There have been lots of disappointments with teams and there have been lots of great surprises. I don't know what is wrong with the Lakers, they have been close in just about every game but they just can't pull it off. The Lakers are 1-10 when Kobe Bryant scores over 30. I think Dwight Howard is playing the best out of any of the Lakers, Mike D'Antoni should know that they have one of the best centers in the game. A great surprise is the Golden State Warriors, 15-7! I probably am a little biased being a Warriors fan and a Lakers hater but the Warriors are playing great. The Heat have been disappointing lately, Lebron has not been playing well down the stretch again.
In the MLB there has been BIG money signings. Josh Hamilton signing with the Angels for a 5 year 127 million dollars! That is crazy! I hope there aren't anymore blockbuster trades. I hate those it's "saying our team is terrible so lets stack another team and start over so we will be good in 10 years!"
The NFL has a big weekend coming up. I think the 49ers will pull it off against the Patriots, the Falcons are going to blow out the Giants. The Falcons are 10-0 after a loss. Chicago is going to keep their NFC North championship hopes alive. Baltimore is going to lose again to the Broncos, their defense has been one of the worst lately and trying to stop Peyton Manning right now is almost impossible. Washington is going to win this weekend and the NFC west, the Colts are going to pull off a last second field goal win against the Texans. The Texans defense has been terrible and Andrew Luck has been great but what has been most surprising to me is their defense it stops high powered offenses. Dallas is going to keep Wild Card hopes alive after beating Pittsburgh this weekend.
Thats it for me for me today. I will be back in a few days. Comment suggestions please.
Patrick,
ReplyDeleteI have both Luck and Roethlisberger. Who should i play this Sunday? Luckily i picked up Cincinnati defense so they helped me out with 23 fantasy points. Can't wait to hear back.
Your Biggest Fan,
Greg Spellman
I would put Luck in because he has been on a hot streak lately and Big Ben is just coming back so that might stop him from throwing the ball as much.
DeleteGreat job Patrick! I've sent your blog to all of my sports buds. Wow, that Arizona comeback in the last seconds made your prediction psychic.
ReplyDeleteYour newest friend,
Steve Caplan
Thank you, the first half of that Arizona game was scary but the ending was great.
DeleteHi Patrick
ReplyDeleteI am sitting in your own livingroom in San Martin!!
Great work on your blog - you really do have alot of sports knowledge and creativity. I will be following your blog from now on. You have chosen correctly some tight games tonight. I am very interested in my old team the Golden State Warriors this year and if they can keep up the present pace for a full 82 games!!?? About our old rivals the Lakers - I am not a Laker fan by any means, but wait until (my college Alumni collegue - Santa Clara) Steve Nash and also Pau Gasol get healthy - things may look a little different.
I have seen above - some people have asked you about fantisy football suggestions - The mountaineers beat your "Raiders" on the last league game for a tie for last place . . . . . . :) I hope you play better tommorrow in your basketball game than you do in Fant. Football . . . .
Your Uncle, Ralph Ogden
Thank you, the lakers will definitely get better when gasol and Nash get back. I really hope that the warriors keep playing as well as they are now later on in the year.
