The NBA on Christmas started off with a whooping on the Brooklyn Nets. The Celtics smashed them all around. The score didn't show it but the stats did. The Lakers ended up with a big late game win over the Knicks. I think the Knicks got robbed in the end, on the in bounds play where the ball was thrown out of bounds Carmelo was held, Kobe was holding him so he couldn't get to the ball. Next was the best game of the day. The Heat finished off the Thunder in the final seconds. The Heat got lucky on that missed three by Russell Westbrook, he was hit on the arm and no one called the foul. The Rockets beat the Bulls badly 120-97. It was and ugly game by the Bulls. Then the final game of the day was the Clippers A.K.A. the new showtime team against the Nuggets. The Clippers just wore out the Nuggets by dunking it almost every possession. The Clippers did end up beating the Nuggets by a pretty descent score.
The Military Bowl is today and its one of my favorite teams, San Jose State. More than half my family went there so I have to like them. I am going to pick SJSU today against Bowling Green. San Jose's defensive pressure is outstanding, Their QB is good and they have a good running game. The receivers for San Jose are good and they might just have the best TE in the Nation. I have only seen Bowling Green play one game and they got smoked by my favorite team Virginia Tech, the score was 47-0. The next game of the day is Cincinnati against Duke. Both teams are fairly good but I am going to have to go with Cincinnati on this one. They have a fast QB who can wear out the defense and he has a good arm so I am going with Cincinnati. The last game of the day is the best one, Baylor vs UCLA. I am going to pick UCLA but it will be a close game. Jonathon Franklin of UCLA is going to be the game changer. Baylor does have some very good players like Terrence Williams and their RB Seastrunk. Virginia Tech plays Rutgers tomorrow and I am not sure who will win this game but I have to go with Virginia Tech. Bud Foster's defense and special teams will come up with something in the end to stop Rutgers. Logan Thomas might have a good game against Rutgers but I think Michael Holmes and J.C. Coleman will eat it up tomorrow.
The NFL has some games that mean a lot but not much. The Cowboys against the Redskins is definitely the game that matters most. I am picking the Redskins, I think RGIII is going to be a headache for the Cowboys and then put along Alfred Morris with Roger Griffin III it will be painful for the Cowboys D trying to chase those guys around. I am almost positive that the Bears will win and the Vikings will lose. The Bears just will not let the Vikings make the playoffs and they don't. I believe that the Seahawks will beat the Rams and the Niners will lose the division title.
